Situated about about 2 hours south of the Victoria Falls, one of the Natural 7 Wonders of the World, Hwange National Park offers adventure travellers various opportunities to be on the lookout for wildlife.
Hwange hosts over 100 mammal species and 400 bird species. Matobo National Park forms the core of the Matobo or Matobo Hills, an area of granite hills and wooded valleys commencing some 35 kilometers. Part of the national park is set aside as 100 sq. kilometers game park, which has been stocked with game including the White Rhinoceros. The nation al park is the oldest in Zimbabwe, established in 1926.
