Day1

Victoria Falls

Today, the adventure begins but feel free to explore your surroundings before your welcome meeting. Your time in the small town of Victoria Falls can be filled with a variety of activities. Take a helicopter or microlight flight over the Victoria Falls, and let your breath be taken away by the sight of the largest wall of falling water in the world, cascading across two countries into a narrow gorge. Make sure to visit this UNESCO World Heritage Site, which is also one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the World. When you stand in front of the Victoria Falls you will understand why the indigenous Tonga tribe, gave it the beautiful and descriptive name of Mosi-Oa-Tunya (The Smoke That Thunders). After introductions, your Tour Leader will review the details of your trip and recommend a good selection of restaurants from which you can choose to experience the cuisine on offer. We recommend you book an extra day or two pre-tour to make the most of your stay.

Day2

Victoria Falls to Gwango (Hwange area)

After breakfast, we continue to Gwango situated just outside Hwange National Park, named after a local chief. This park is the largest park in Zimbabwe occupying roughly 14,650 square kilometres. Look forward to an included afternoon open vehicle game drive. After dinner, you can go on an optional night game drive which will give you the opportunity to discover nocturnal animals such as porcupines, civet cats, genets and leopard.

Day3

Gwango (Hwange area) to Bulawayo

We head south towards Matobo National Park, which is at the Matobo or Matopos Hills, a scenic area of granite kopjes and wooded valleys. Banff Lodge, in the leafy suburb of Ilanda, Bulawayo will be your home for the next two nights.

Bulawayo (Matobo National Park)

You will enjoy a full day excursion today, which includes a game drive and a guided rhino walk in Matobo National Park. Visitors to Matobo National Park regularly spot white and black rhino, sable antelope, and impala, among other wildlife.

Day5

Bulawayo to Musina

We cross the Zimbabwe / South Africa Border and overnight at the Bolayi Game Lodge. Klein Bolayi Game Lodge is set in the Limpopo Valley, in the heart of the world`s largest concentration of Baobab trees, surrounded by fascinating granite outcrops in pristine bushveld vegetation.

Day6

Musina to Johannesburg

Today you travel to Johannesburg, South Africa’s largest city, also known as Egoli, or The City of Gold, referring to the gold mining history of this fast-paced city. Tonight, you have the opportunity to dine in one of the many excellent restaurants the city offers.
Johannesburg is the “getting on” and “getting off” hub for people who have booked shorter “legs” of your combo trip. You might lose some of your travel companions and new people might join. You might also have a change of vehicle and adventure crew (Tour Leader and Driver.) Although it might sound a bit daunting, please be assured that your vehicle will be the same standard and your adventure crew are very experienced in dealing with these changes to make it as smooth as possible.
All adventure crew is committed to giving the best possible service but because all have their own style, own special recipes, and own passion with regards to culture, fauna and flora, geology etc. having a change of crew will broaden your experience on the trip immensely.

Johannesburg to Nkambeni Lodge

Today you leave behind the hustle and bustle of Johannesburg. As we head Northeast to Mpumalanga our Safari Camp is situated just outside the borders of the Kruger National Park and features a restaurant, outdoor pool, and a bar/lounge. Sit back and indulge in the beauty of nature that surrounds you.

Day8

Nkambeni Lodge to Kruger National Park

Enjoy a full day’s game drive in Kruger National Park, with approximately 2,000 plant, 53 fish, 34 amphibia, 118 reptile, 517 bird and 147 mammal species ready for you to discover. You will experience first-hand why Kruger National Park is known as the flagship of South African National Parks. In the evening, back at camp you can sit around a campfire with your sundowner and enjoy the African night sounds drifting into the camp area. Book an optional night game drive.

Kruger National Park to eSwatini (Swaziland)

After a final morning game drive in Kruger, we continue to eSwatini for two nights at Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary. The journey is just as rewarding as the destination, driving along rolling green hills, vast sugarcane plantations and countless mango trees. En route we will stop at some of the local markets where you can buy colourful batik or beaded jewellery, amongst others. Sometimes animals such as zebra, impala and warthog casually wander into the premises, giving you the opportunity for that unique picture.

eSwatini (Swaziland)

Known as eSwatini’s pioneer conservation area that covers 4,560 hectares, Mlilwane Wildlife Sanctuary gives you the opportunity to experience some of Africa’s wildlife while on either the back of a horse, bicycle or on foot. Since there are no big predators, you will be safe to walk around and just enjoy the beautiful landscapes and pure, fresh air. Besides all the optional wildlife activities, you can also enjoy a hands-on cultural experience by visiting one of the local tribes. Learn more about the secrets of this small kingdom, such as the traditional but controversial annual reed dance where the king has the opportunity to choose a new wife.
