Kruger National Park is one of the largest game reserves in Africa and the biggest in South Africa. Its over 19,485 square kilometres and extends 360 kilometres from north to south and 65 kilometres from east to west.
Established and proclaimed int 1895, Kruger hosts mores species of mammals than any other African Game Reserve (147 species). All the Big Five game animals are found in Kruger and out of the 517 species of birds found at Kruger, 253 are residents, 117 non-breeding migrants, and 147 nomads.
